Seattle to La Pine, OR with a travel trailer - which pass?

Next week, June 23, I am driving from Seattle, WA to Wickiup Reservoir outside of La Pine, OR. Should I take Hwy 26 when I hit Portland, and are there any construction advisories I should watch out for?

Hwy 26 is fine for RVs; we've driven it numerous times with trailers.
