November visit?

Hi. My husband and I are looking for a getaway somewhat close to Pittsburgh for our anniversary. Would you recommend hocking hills for a weekend trip in mid November (veterans weekend)? The cedar falls inn is booked. Any thoughts on where to stay.

If you want a cabin somewhere in the woods (trees with no leaves) :) peace and quiet, a hot tub on the deck, yes, Hocking Hills is good. There are endless cabins to choose from. November is not a pretty time of year here either, tho! :)

Go here: http://www.hockinghills.com and click on "find lodging" you will be able to put in dates desired, etc and find what suits you.

Thanks. Yes, november is not the best. Not enough time to go where it is pretty 😊

haha understood!

We've been a couple times in January for the Mr's b-day. Very pretty but nasty roads. We tend to hole up and cook and just enjoy each others company.

Should be able to get reservations for dinner at Cedar Inn? Been once. Great food.

If you enjoy hiking, go to Old Mans Cave. Start at the upper falls and hike 3 miles to Cedar falls taking the gorge path. Even in November, it will be cool looking- all the rock formations. You can come the 3 miles back along the top thru the trees. Easier hike back.
