Where to go in/on a Jeep/quad?

Just arrived in hersonnisos and have already organised renting a wrangler jeep for 2 days. Just wondering where anybody would recommend going to? Love ruins and archeological parks etc. Also going to get a quad towards the end of the holiday and will be travelling as much as we can on that also but any advice on where not to take a quad/jeep wouldn’t be useful. (Beaches) Thankyou!

Take a drive up to the Lassithi Plateau which is a fantastic drive. Visit the Dikteon Cave at Psychro and drive the whole way round the plateau. On the way back down take a short detour to Krasi with it's famous springs and huge tree before heading to the lovely town of Mohos to explore.

With the quad (or jeep) head for Malia and Potamos which is outside of Malia to the east. Just a few hundred yards from the beach you have the archaeological site of Malia Palace. Then head for the national highway but before you reach it turn left and head to Sissi and chill out for while by the pretty harbour. Then head out of Sissi but after a minute or so turn left and head for Milatos. There is a more modern seafront area but also Epano Milatos which is a lovely traditional village. Then drive through the village and up the hill to Milatos Cave and then further up the hill to Kounali where there is a lovely family run taverna. Then take the back roads to another lovely traditional village called Vrahassi where there is also a tradional Cretan House you can visit. Then head back to base.

Another idea with the jeep would be to head down towards Ag Nik but just as you reach it turn off and take the road to the lovely village of Kritsa. As you reach Kritsa turn left and head to the fantastic ancient site of Lato.

Be sure to spend some time exploring the village of Kritsa and also drive through the village and up to the Katharo Plateau which is another fantastic drive.
