When Snowfall start in Dalhousie

Hi,

When usally Snowfall start in Dalhousie ? We are palning to visit HP in 2nd week of December and want to see snowfall.

Does we will get snowfall in Dec 2nd Week ? If not, can you please suggest any other place in HP where we can get snow fall in Dec 2nd Week ?

Dalhousie & other hill stations receive snow starting mid december upto march. However no dates are fixed. Its more likely that snowfall would occur in Jan compared to December. But its all about luck.............

You may go to manali if you are very keen on seeing snow. You can drive up from Manali & see snow. But this is more like ice which is hard & not enjoyable.

The most enjoyable part of snowfall is when its happening & not when its already become hard. I suggest, you should plan your trip in Jan to experience snowfall. Chances of snowfall in 2nd week of December are very less.

Thaks Ashish for info. I will not get leave in Jan, thats why we are palning for Dec tour..
