Hi, Inland, along the Warrego Highway and then at Roma up the Carnarvon Highway with a stop at Carnarvon Gorge Nat Park is a must, then on to Emerald.

Plenty of chances for stops for fuel and food, albeit some are over 150kilomteres apart, it still the quickest way to go.

After Toowoomba, you could have a look at the Jondaryan Woolshed, there's a fee.

But IMO, the aim for me would be to get to Carnarvon Gorge and spend a couple of days, it's stunning.

Hi Alina, if you have a bit of time up your sleeve, about a 60 kilometre detour north from Dalby is the Bunya Mountains, which is another favourite of ours, just a thought.

And there's some really good accommodation in the Bunyas, and it snowed when we were there many years ago.
