There are car rental places on the left hand side of the terminal as you head toward the exits.
You can book on line before you go through Hertz or National.
If this is your first time renting a car in Mexico, type "car rental" into the TA search engine and read up on some of the gass station scams.
I hope this helps.
You can also go to another forum for info on scams that are often pulled on tourists driving rental cars - locogringo.com has a lot of info on it. Again, do a search and you'll find all kinds of info. Driving a rental car in Mexico is different than other places, I'm not saying don't do it, but just make sure you know what you're getting into before you go.
Recommend you pre-book your car rental as it will be cheaper and quicker. This was posted on the LG Site
He gave us a Nissan Tsuru (AUT.) for 9 days with 0% deductible insurance for $406...this includes taxes too!
ps....he is also picking us up at the airport at 11pm the night we arrive. You just can't beat the service you get at Easyway!
WOW, thats really expensive!!
I've rented from easyway several time, with no problems. firstname.lastname@example.org
Send them an e-mail and get a confirmation on the car you want. Full insurance is the only way to go. Also, call your CC and ask if they will cover the car whie in Mexico. Could save you money.
Read a couple of posts on LG recently that Easyway changed their rates and no longer includes the insurance in their quote, but another poster said he reserved with them and got the insurance included (the zero deductible always did cost extra). Will be sending an email to Jesus for a quote in the next few days to a week. If they are too high we'll go with Cancunrentacar.
Have not heard too much good about Hertz but National is good if you want to rent from the airport and pay the extra tax for on-airport rental.
Skier, last year we paid US$416 plus 10% tax for 11 days. With AAA discount offered by Easyway that offset the 10% tax.
