Would like some ideas of things to do or see in oCTOBER ON THE COAST
Will you be staying on the Crystal Coast? If so, you can visit the NC Aquarium in Pine Knolls Shores, Ft Macon (above Atlantic Beach), Maritime Museum and waterfront in Beaufort. You could also head to New Bern for a day trip to see Tryon Place.
October is prime fishing time along the coast.Edited: 08 August 2012, 09:59
You've got loads of beaches , museums , mini golf courses , Morehead City has the Country Club on Country Club Lane. If you're going in October , Morehead City hosts the annual Seafood Festival too. There is also Fort Macon ( which if FREE and on the beach) , New Bern and Beaufort are close too. There is alot to do there , you just have to go a little ways to get to them .
Beaufort has a beautiful waterfront area with shops , museums, places to eat. it's ashame that the 824 th in Morehead is deployed. They usually give civilians tours of their boat.

Have fun and good luck !
I think tee times at MCC need to be called in by a memeber or home pro. Not an issue at North River, Star Hill or Silver Creek. I would echo NCPAT that fishing is prime. Along with surf fishing, charter and head boat trips are available. Also, weather should be nice enough to permit an excursion to Shackleford/ cape Lookout. It is also a great time to dine out with easier reservations, better service and seemingly better seafood.
