which is the best beach to stay in mauritius? grand baie, mont choisy , flic en flac , balacalva ?
Hi,
It really depends on time of year. Some areas are cooler and can be quite windy in Mauritian winter, particularly July August.
If you plan on coming then you would be OK in any of those areas.
Mont Choisy in the north west has lovely beaches, as does next door Trou aux Biches.
Flic en Flac is also a good choice.
The Beaches at Balaclava are not so good, many being man made.
Grand Baie doesn't really have much of a sunbathing beach but the hotels around there there do.

Good info on which areas to avoid at certain times of year,
Best Wishes

Im sure those of us that have recently come back from Mauritius will be in love with our hotels but if you are after beauty, peace & quiet, pampering and a bit of luxury then i would recommend Les Pavillons at Le Morne. It is on the south-west peninsular and a beautiful place. Read my review and those of others that have loved it there. The beach was idyllic!
We would go back - good luck!
