Has anyone actually stayed at both the Riu Touareg and the Karamboa. I really can't decide which one to go for.

Also apart from a quad bike day is there anything else to do on the island

We have stayed at both and they are both fantastic and almost identical in most ways. The Touareg is only a year old so is slightly better. Karamboa is nearer the airport, only 5 minutes drive away and nearer to Sal Rei, the main small town. Thomson do excursions as such but way too expensive, there are local companies to be found in the reception area who are much cheaper, so people say, also a local man Dada who will take you wherever you would like to visit. We never went anywhere or did anything just R&R, bliss. I think this year, being our 4th visit we may try to venture out somewhere!
