Hi! We will only be in the area for a short time. We would like to maximize both sides with a tour guide/company. Can anyone recommend a company/private tour you took? Thanks!
The New York side is a State Park, with a "trolley" that gets you around for $3 per day. You don't need a tour guide, you just read the brochure they give you or ask a State Park ranger. It's that easy.
On the Canadian side, it's a long, sidewalk along a riverside road. You walk along it; you look at everything; you see the Falls; you look across the street at the flowers. You go down a street and see all the hokey tourist attractions that have nothing to do with the Falls.
That's it, except on either side you can take a boat ride to right up to the edge of the Horseshoe Falls. You don't need a tour guide, in my opinion.
And if you have your passport, you can walk from NY to Ontario and back very easily.Edited: 08 August 2018, 09:34
