Driving to NYC

We are driving to NYC from Michigan next week. We will be staying at the Skyline Hotel for Tuesday-Thursday night. We are worried about driving and parking in the city. Would it be easier to drive to a train station and take a commuter train in? There will be 5 of us. If so, what train station is the easiest?

You've posted in the forum for the town of New City not the NYC forum

Since the Skyline hotel offers affordable on-site parking and is close to the Lincoln Tunnel it's unlikely that parking and taking a train or bus in would be easier or cheaper. If you drive outside of rush hour it won't be that bad.

If you take an NJ train into Penn station you'd have to walk, cab or take the subway to get to your hotel

A bus into the Port Authority bus terminal would get you closer to your hotel, but I'm not sure about the availability of suitable park-and-rides for the buses.
