A camp to avoid : Delia camp

We have had a great photography safari trip in Zambia in 4 parcs. All the lodge were really great (management, skilled staff, restaurant...)

Unfortunatly we found an exception : Delia camp

In all my travels, I have never seen a camp with a such awfull management:

* We missed 2 safari, because the manager, didn't do the transfer planned (departure 7h late)

* The manager give us a lot a false excuses, and didn't try to arrange things

* Restaurant remind me a student canteen: every other meal only one main dish, meat was only once a day, starters were the strict minimum, hot meals served at the same time with starter and are cold when you eat them...

I prefer know forget about this error in our trip, and I strongly recommend to avoid it.

Hello, I am Fillo Peña , one of the happy customers, there are a lot more. I shared two moments with these people that is complaining (in the Bush Camp at Luanbe and two days in Track and Trail river camp in South Luangwa). In the first one they did not show the education to just leave us make a final picture with the owner of Delia when we were saying good bye to each other. They were on a hurry¿?. Maybe they think in Zambia there are taxis or buses with strict schedules............maybe they think there are asphalt roads wich make possible to arrive at the time expected........maybe they should had gone to a zoo for a "safari".

Besides, i asked at Track and Trail´s staff and they sayd the same as in Delia, very complicated and bad educated customer.......complaining for everything...........very big cameras, very poor education with people that is trying to make the best as they can in a country (the most poor in the world) that makes it very difficult.

They really left a big amount of money due as the surprised staff in Delia told me. The owner could have not let them out without paying but he did not. I think that talks very nicely about him, eventhough he was very upset with that as he told me personally.

They finished all the wine that the lodge had probably knowing previously that at the end they would make any show to say that they would not pay.

That makes me think that the faint the wife had in Track and Trail River camp was a strategy for not paying the bill there too.............i left before knowing the end of that story.

So , may i give my support to Delia Camp, where i went back again days later since i liked it so much.............pure Africa, the most wild place in Africa i have been so far, even better than South Africa, kenya and Tanzania.

maybe next year, you should travel to a city in europe and go to a nice zoo with those huge cameras and tell your friends you were in the real Africa.
