Beach tags

I know beach tags are required for Brigantine. But what about if you want to visit the beach in the evening? We've never done nj beaches during high season but will be down for a few days next week and typically like to visit the beach in the evening, around 530/600. Do we still need them then?

No you'll see the Beach Tag checkers when the lifeguards are on duty until 5:30 PM. If you are only going to the beach after that you won't need tags.

If you're thinking about daytime here's the details on pricing

Seasonal: $15.00 through the month of May/$ 20.00 starting June 1st

Daily: $10.00

Seniors (60-64): $8.00 ONLY DURING THE MONTH OF MAY/ $20.00 after May 31st

Senior over 65: Come in with identification for a free tag! You are only allowed 1 Beach Tag per Identification

Active Military Members, tags are free (4 free per family). Also, for Veterans, beach tags are free only for that veteran.

The discounted or free tags are available at the Beach Tag office only as ID is required and they'll make a copy of the ID to ensure the discounted or free tags are only going to someone who qualifies

Beach Fee Office is located at 265 42nd Street and can be reached by calling (609) 264-7350 ext.1.

Beach Tag checkers can sell the regular priced tags but I'd suggest having exact change.
