30th Birthday, what to do?

I am traveling to Vegas late July for my 30th birthday. I have been there once, but I had my son who at the time was 5 years old. I know there is tons of things to do there, but I want to know about other's experiences and what they enjoyed most about Vegas.

My first strip to Vegas was for my sister's 30th. We stayed at Planet Hollywood. We went to the pool and a couple of clubs (Tao, which was brand new then and one that has now closed). One night, we saw Mystere and had dinner at Stack at the Mirage. For her birthday, we had dinner at N9NE at the Palms and went to Ghostbar. During the day, we walked the strip, saw the hotels, Mirage secret garden, shopped, etc. We had planned to have lunch at Top of the World at the Stratosphere but didn't make it. We didn't gamble at all that trip but of course you can do that too.

This was a great trip for me but of course there is tons to do, this was just my experience.

SG425, that's a lot of stuff you did. Sounds fun. I myself am not a gambler. I have never gambled a penny of my own money. I have had a couple of exes that took me to casinos and gave me money to gamble and I lost it within minutes. Thankfully the total loss was $30. I have heard a lot about Tao, I wanted to go the last time I was there but the only bar my friend, who I was staying with, and I went to was at the Palms. I was only able to get a sitter for part of the night. So, I hope this time I get to do a lot more.

No, I have not figured out where to stay yet. The only info I have is when I am going. Which I have several people coming with me too.

I did look into the Cosmopolitan. I was very impressed and would love to stay there. But I also have to make sure it's within budget for my friends, as well.
