Venetian Slot Tournament

Hi folks. Just received an invitation to a slot tournament at the Venetian in May. As it happens we are there fo those dates on another offer. Can I enter the tournament if I'm already there on another offer? And what can I expect for the tournament timewise? I have never done a slot tournament before, but sounds like fun.

Bgg, I'm also going to the WOF tournament May 20-23rd. As someone else mentioned since this is a 50k tourney, they will have a awards banquet. The Wheelmobile will also be there, and for those interested (not me) there's a chance to audition for the TV show. This is the first tournament offer I've received from Venetian that gave me a good amount of slot credits just for signing up, instead of having to wait to see if I win some in the tournament.

Yeah, I think I would pass on the TV show. I'm not that good. LOL

So what we get is slot credit, that why we hear and see so many 7's yet no $ .

See you there

Just called Venetian to see if I could register in the tournament and was told I was already on an offer so I could not combine the two even though they emailed the invitation. Oh Well - maybe next time. Good luck to those that are playing.

Couple of questions on offers at V/P if anyone can help:

-How far in advance do room offers usually come/ how limited is the window to take advantage of a specific offer?

-Are room offers always included with slot tournament offers?

-It seems like some people have said that room offers come up for them monthly and continue to be offered the next month if not used- is this typical and are tournament offers similar? For example, if I really wanted to be invited in September would accepting in May be viewed as showing interest towards future offers (besides having a chance to spend more there) or would it more likely use up the one offer I would get? Or might May be the only offer either way?

I know there may not be set rules for these things but any info in general would be appreciated.

I am not an expert, but it is my understanding that to accept the tournament invitation, you must also accept the free room invitation. The casino wants you to be spending lots of time at the casino, that is the whole purpose of the invitation. That is why they have three sessions over two days, so that you will have to be there -- it lessens the chances of you showing up for your 10 minute session and then heading out to some other casino.

Locals get invited to far fewer tournaments, because they know that we are less captive. We'll show up, play and then go back to work. That is not what the casinos want!!

The tournament is not really a "reward" for past play, it is instead an inducement to get you to play more while you are there for the tournament.

I'm booked for the capture the cash slot tournament june 20-22. I booked at the Palazzo and I'm excited! I usually stay at Harrah's properties and this will be my first time staying at Venetian/Palazzo.

If you win, how long do you have to use the slot credits? If there's only 300 people and they pay 100 the chances of winning something are pretty decent I guess.

I also received an offer for the Capture the Cash Slot Tournament. Is there a fee to enter the tournament or is it free? I am taking my Mom for her birthday - can she also enter the tournament?

I'm also taking my mom, and she asked if she was able to pay a fee to enter the tournament. I suspect the answer is no, but I don't know for sure. Usually when I've gotten offers for tournaments the offer usually states that another person can enter for a fee. The way the offer is worded leads me to believe it's by invitation only and only for the person it's addressed to.

It's only 3 sessions for about 10 minutes each, so really doesn't take much time so I'm sure my mom will be happy watching and cheering for me if there's a place for her to do that. Maybe your mom can do the same.
