Flamingo vs Mirage

I was hoping to get some advice on this, I can get Flamingo (GO room) or standard in the Mirage for about the same price, I've read through the reviews for both and Flamingo seems to always get really mixed reviews, some love it and some hate it.... Is it really that bad?? I orginially fell in love with the look of the flamingo GO rooms and always planned on staying there but now after hearing such mixed reviews I am not so sure and thinking the Mirage is probably a wiser (and possibly nicer) choice...?

The price for both was $99p/n and it was for 5 nights in the last week of June.

Thanks for your help, this is my first time booking/organising an overseas trip so I'm probably being a bit of a stress head!

For $99 a night I would go with Flamingo Go room.

I agree for $99 for the Go rooms is a great value & the rooms are very nice. We like it a lot & have stayed there several times. Flamingo also has the better location on the strip by being center of the strip as well as the better pool. The Go Rooms have lots of high end amenities with great views.

The casino, showroom, gym/spa, lobby, reataurants, and bars/lounges at Mirage are higher quality and better maintained then at Flamingo.

The pool and rooms are of similar quality at both hotels.

I like Mirage better than Flamingo but my brother likes Flamingo becuase he likes very casual hotels.

I just booked a Flamingo GO room for $65 a nite in May. Called the Flamingo and booked a regular room for $45 and then upped it with thier Goemail promotion on their website for $20 extra for the go room. It certainly does get very mixed reviews but remember you really aren't in your room that much. We are going for my son's 21st bday so hope it is nice. Good Luck!

I think the Mirage is much better than way the Flamingo. (I've stayed at both several times) I especially love the pool at the Mirage, find it more tropical and nicer places to sit around the pool.

Stayed at a Flamingo GO room April 7 - 9 for $48 a night (the lowest I could find for the Mirage that date was $85). I find the GO rooms are getting old a little run down already.

As for location, if you want to visit the Fashion Show Mall or any of the newer hotels (Encore etc.) Mirage is in a great location.

The Flamingo or the Mirage??

Make no mistake there is NO comparison between these two Hotels, and how anyone could say that the Flamingo can compare astonishes me.

Another thing to consider is where you are going to be doing most of your gambling. If you are going to be gambling at the Harrahs properties then you should probably pick the Flamingo. Take the Mirage if you will be gambling at the MGM/Mirage properties. I have stayed at both hotels and you can't really can't go wrong with either one. I personally prefer the MGM properties to gamble at, but that is just me.

Good Luck,

Mirage is a much nicer property than Flamingo. They're not even in the same "class." There's simply no comparison.

It's Vegas, so go with your gut! I am not a hotel expert, and have in fact asked about the Flamingo on here, but just stay where you think will be cool for you. I think they would both be great, so roll with the first instinct.
