Adults only. Probably see the Clydesdales and the brewery. Enjoy shopping and a little gambling
Sorry I didn't get back to you over the weekend, hopefully this isn't too late. I would tend to look for a hotel either in the Forest Park, Galleria area if you want to be centrally located to get to stuff. From both of those areas it wouldn't be a very long drive to downtown, brewery, or good shopping. FP wouldn't have places to walk, drive pretty much everywhere. The casinos would be great options if you want that entertainment and restaurants onsite. Great Italian food in The Hill neighborhood. Great food and nightlife Soulard area, Washington Ave downtown, and downtown St Charles.
Grew up in St. Louis. Parents now live in St. Charles. Currently staying at Comfort Suites on S. Fifth St. In St. Charles. I would definitely recommend it and I'm picky. Although no modern or particularly stylish decor, it fits into it's midwestern surroundings, is quiet, updated, roomy, very clean, great staff, reasonable for the area. Note: I haven't tried their breakfast yet. Starbucks is a block away. Most area hotels have horrible reviews. You mentioned gambling. I can see the Ameristar casino from the parking lot. It's just off of Hwy 70, so it's convenient for the STL locations that you listed, although I would avoid rush-hr traffic. Notoriously bad downtown and heading out to St. Charles. Have fun!!
Thank you very much. You were very helpful.
