Places to stay

We are spending a few days in Moustiers Sainte Marie this Oct. with our two children ages 8 and 11. We are wondering where is a good place to stay. Things to do and see and places to eat. Can you help us?

What a wonderful town to visit. We stayed at L'Odalyre (my boys were grad students - so we took two rooms - quads are sometimes tough to find in small towns.

And, we LOVED the Cote Jardin - kept going back each night.

There's so much to see in the town and environs, I'm sure you'll be busy (we stuck to walks and hikes, but you may find kayaking in the area)

Hope this helps. CraigerPhilly.

Just noticed that L'Odalyre DOES have two suites each for 4 persons. Bon voyage!

Someone just posted a report about the Château d'Esparron, where we stayed and just loved. It's about a 20-minute drive south of Moustiers-Ste-Marie and near the Lac de St-Croix. The château has been lovingly restored by the owner, a French count, and his Scottish wife. They have two children and a couple of dogs; so it's a good family place.

Thanks, we have looked into saw the posts. We wanted to stay there, but the cost were too high for our budgets. They charge 30 euros extra per child. With today exchange rate the cost would be about $275per night. The owner of d'Esparron recommended La Colombiere. Not far from them and the price seem reasonable. I will let you know how it goes.
