Good Southern Home Cooking!

We happened upon a restaurant while staying overnight in Hattiesburg, that is not listed on the list of restaurants. We just happened to see this large older building up on a hillside, that had an "All you can Eat Buffet" sign on it. We did a U turn and stopped in to see what they had.

It was an older building, but once inside, we saw that this was our kind of place!! They had the "BEST" Southern style, down home cooking, that we had eaten while on our trip from Arkansas to the Gulf! I just wanted to yell out a praise for this place, because when we come through again, we will be back!!

If you pass through HB you should not pass up Leatha's BBQ...........Ain't much around the S that's better.

Did you go to Nanny's. It's a joint that's been around a long time.

Sorry, I failed to give the name of the place!!! It was The Farmers Market. It was just an old building, with some of the best Southern homestyle cooking!

I agree! The Farmers Market is a wonderful buffet style country cooking restaurant. All you can eat, lots of meat choices and vegetables such as turnip greens, mashed potatoes, awesome sweet potatoes, etc. Doesn't look so hot on the outside but don't let that fool you!
