I believe we had two in the metro area, and the closest to the mall was in Woodbury, about 7 miles from the MOA on 494 towards Wisconsin.

The other was up on 694, the northern interstate ring of the metro.

But, the CB site indicates one down in Lakeville, just south of the MOA -

on I-35, exit 85.

Good memory......I think the Woodbury location has been an Axel's Bonfire for at least 10 years.

has it been THAT long ?

wow

I used to work in Woodbury.... when the Target, Lifetime, Allstate, DQ, etc. all were opening.

haven't been back in long time, cept driving thru to Wisconsin.

I guess the 694 one finally closed too.

I work down the street from the old CB in Woodbury. Definitely Bonfire now.

I thoiught I had seen a CB off I-694 in Brooklyn Park area but have never stopped there. Haven't paid much attention lately when we've driven by. I think that was the last one in the area.

It's locked up tight - I looked for it about a month ago to see if it was still open. I don't think anything has opened there.

I can remember when they opened that the parking lots were full.

The one and only visit I had to CB was in NH. Wasn't bad. Kinda kitschy.

Hell's Kitchen breakfast is more my style.

It appears that the Lakeville one might still be open, but I'm not certain on that. It's not that close to MOA, about 14 miles away.

The Cracker Barrel in Lakeville is definitely open. I work about 1/2 mile from there. It's probaby your closest option from the MOA.

We're driving thru - heading towards North Dakota and then up North to home. Our other plans include stopping at the Albertville outlets.

Questions: Looking for mini golf, go karts...stuff like that for my boys to do on the trip. Is there anything like that anywhere along the way?

Valleyfair- do we need a whole day to do VF? Are there kids rides? I'll check it out online- any tips are appreciated.
