Best way to spend a Sunday- wineries?

I will be in Traverse City from late afternoon on Saturday 8/25 until mid-day on Monday 8/27. We will have been on Mackinac Island since Wednesday, and this is the last leg of our trip.

We want to check out some wineries and anything else that is a 'must do' in this short of a time frame. Any recommendations for wineries on Sunday so that we can visit a few and maximize our time without driving all over? Dinner recommendations for Saturday night and/or Sunday?

Thanks for your help!

I cannot help with wineries at all but The Village and Castle Farms are both places that should be considered. Also, I am much assuming you will be going to Sleeping Bear National Dunes ? That is a must. If time, on the way back, consider www.thinkdunes.com and also check out www.m22michigan.com for more ideas on that lovely highway.

Hi there!

Check out our website for listings of all the wineries: https://www.traversecity.com/summer/wineries/

Also, this blog post highlights the two peninsulas and things that you can explore along with the wineries! https:/…

Finally, this recent blog post shows some of our favorites for food in Traverse City: https:/…

Hope this helps!

The best attraction is Sleeping Bear Dunes. If you've never been, start with that. I'd visit the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive (and pull-off #9) as well as the Dune Climb (but maybe not the long slog to the lake... that's not my favorite, I just like the view from the top).

If you want wineries there are two main regions: Leelanau and Old Mission, both of which are easily accessible from Traverse City. I'm partial to L. Mawby (for sparkling wines) and Bowers Harbor.
