Jonathan Munroe Inn

Anyone stayed at the Jonathan Munroe Inn? Price is pretty reasonable for June and rooms look pretty. Any suggestions of a nice B&B not outrageously priced. Oak Bluffs or Edgartown? We will bring our car over on the ferry and will be there weekend of June 18. Also, what about the Winnetu Oceanside Resort? Thanks for any tips.

My wife and I are very fond of the Jonathan Murnoe House. We stayed there twice, a week for two summers in a row. It's very conveniently located in Edgartown, a couple of blocks up from the exact center of town and across from the historic Whaling Church. Chip, the owner, is a terrific host. A very nice breakfast is served on an outdoor patio in the back. Late afternoons, he brings out wine and cheese so the guests have a chance to know each other, talk about their day and compare notes on restaurants. We haven't stayed there in several years, only because we have a young son, but it's a charming B&B with a gracious host. We recommend it highly.

We not only stayed at the JM House May 2009, we were married on the grounds. An absolutely wonderful and memorable time! Everyone there, Chip, Karen, and the other guests were very accommodating and helped to make this a very special day - one we'll not soon forget!
