New Bar-b-q places in Bedford

Huey's Bar B Q on 16th street across from Parkview Primary and Middle schools has the best brisket of any place we have tried. Better than Bennett's in PF, better than Squealer's in Mooresville (which is excellent).

Huey's pulled pork is as good as we have had anywhere.

We hope to try Huey's ribs this weekend (they are having a special this Saturday from 11 am till 8 pm.

Huey's is using a portable smoker sales unit like they would take to a fair or festival, but the food is top notch.

Smokin' Joes Bar B Q at 5th and Lincoln is at the same location where Forty's fish was a few years back. Their half rack of ribs is massive and very good. They have arranged their smoker adjacent to the eating area. The sides they offer, baked beans, slaw, and nanner puddin' are very, very good.

Huey's ribs were very tasty also. They will be across the road from where they normally are this weekend for a fundraiser.

Guess they will be downtown for the Bedford Christmas parade this weekend. They won't be back open at their base location across from Parkview Middle school on 16 th Street til March?

Check out the review for Bedford Indiana's Smokin' Jim's Barbque in the Bedford Park, IL section of TA. TA misposted it to the IL area.

I guess I messed up in my first post in this thread.

The BarBQue place on fifth street in Bedford is Smokin' Jim's

It is open several days per week, and has briskit on Saturdays.

Their correct phone number is 812-276-7417.

They have very good food and were gracious enough to take their food and equipment to provide food for those workers cleaning up the tornadoes in southern Indiana.

Good folks.

Smokin' Jim's has moved to the old Rusty's West End across the highway from Bedford's Golden Corral restaurant. GC has the huge American flag.

Huey's is a mobile place that was open certain days in Bedford a couple years ago. They also open at festivals, etc.

I haven't seen them around town yet this year.

Smokin' Jims is another great Barbque place that is right beside hi way 37 west of Bedford.

The access to it is just south of the business at the stoplight.

You can't miss it, their huge locomotive smoker is parked next to the building.
