Villa with Pool required August 2017 for 1 week

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) from the UK looking to hire a villa with a pool next August after spending a few days in Orlando. Can anyone recommend some good reliable web sites or premises please? I found some on Homeaway then got a bit put off with bad reviews about this company so now I am not so sure.

Many thanks.

How much did you want to spend $$$ for the week? 2 bedrooms?

Does the pool have to be a private pool or can it be shared?

There aren't lots of private homes that rent for 1 week.

August is extremely hot and humid...it is also hurricane season. FYI.

Don't be concerned with bad reviews with Homeaway itself, but look at the reviews of the particular villa. The owner/manager of the villa will determine and influence your experience. I look at Google street view, looking for proximity to schools, heavy traffic, industrial areas, parking, and access to areas that interest you.

45 minutes to the east of Orlando is Cocoa Beach, with many options for villas/ condos. I found a villa there to rent.

I have rented many times with VRBO/Homeaway and while some have not been perfect, (cold pool, busy road, low water pressure), nothing that makes the villa a poor experience.

Renting sight unseen and trusting the owner /manager is daunting to be sure.

Cocoa Beach is a very different type of place when compared to Venice, FL.

We would be happy with either. Unfortunately August is the only time we are able to travel. Thank you

I think you have several threads going, as I am sure I answered another. Dont do that, as you may not rad all your answers.

Where do you w ant o stay? What do you want to do? There are numerous places to stay in a villa rental in florida. some are busy, some are more relaxed. Some are near/on beaches-some you have to drive 5-20 mins to beach.

Thank you for your reply. Apologies to Amanx. We would like something with a pool (spacious outdoors), 3 beds, 2 baths, not too far from the beach although a drive would be ok. Spending up to about $1000 for a week. Thank you.

I would look at

www.vrbo.com

Also look at the Vacation Rentals section of this TripAdvisor page.

You will have to fill in dates of your August visit.

$1,000/week is not much for a 3/2 by the beach.

3/2 with pools are more numerous, and cheaper off the barrier island. So if prepared to drive, you should find something in your budget.

My 3/2 further south goes for just over 4K per month (incl all taxes and fees and 13 mins from the nearest beach by car) in high season, and August is shoulder/low season.
