Where to stay in Disney???

We are a family of 5 (3 boys, ages 4,6, and 9) and we're taking the boys to Disney for the first time in Feb, 2019. Any recs on where to stay? Don't care if it's on property. Want something moderately priced with nice pool amenities. Any recs would help. So overwhelming!

You need to provide more information like length of trip and budget.

Hotels like Homewood Suites are nice with families of 5 so you have more space.

A hotel like the Swan or Dolphin has you extremely close to property (they’re considered onsite, actually, but not run by Disney). You get lots of great perkscsbc a better hotel with bigger rooms than many Disney official hotel. And if you’re a Starwood member you can get good deals.

Fewer perks but well regarded are the Hilton and Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Spacious units anc good resort amenities.

If just Disney, focus your search area to Lake Buena Vista or Disney Springs. Don’t bother with International Drive, imo. Closer is nicer, for me.

Moderately priced is going to mean something different to different people. Disney has a “moderate” category but those can still run a couple to several hundred a night depending on time of year and room category/view.

Five people is also going to limit you pretty quickly if you are looking for just one room. More options if you want suite style, but more price variables there as well.

Holiday Inn Disney Springs is nearby and very nice; for suite options, we like the Staybridge Suites,Homewood Suites or Residence Inn. The cabins at Fort Wilderness sleep 6.Marriott Grande Vista is reasonable and have several pools. Sheraton Vistana as well.

The Wyndham Bonnet Creek definitely fits the bill. Right next door to Disney's Caribbean Beach so as close to onsite as you can get, 5 or 6 pools, 2 lazy rivers, lots of kids activities, no parking fees. We are booked there for spring break, just under $200/nt for 2 Bdrm/2 ba unit with full kitchen and balcony. The property has quite a few dining options and gets excellent reviews. Easy drive/uber ride to the disney parks.

We just returned from a week at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. It's actually on Disney propery, but not a Disney resort. Minutes to Epcot, Mk, Ak... so much to do. Grounds and pools were meticulous. We are a family of 5 and were super comfortable in a 2 bedroom, 2 Bath condo with full kitchen. Tower 3 was completely updated and gorgeous. Every tower has grills and picnic tables if you ever feel like making your own meal. Activities every day. Lazy rivers. Slides, mini golf. The kids loved it. Highly recommend.

The suites at AOA would be fun.

Not cheap though.

We do enjoy staying on site.
