Parking

Hi all

I’ll be staying on site for the first time on my next trip and am not sure about parking. We will still hve a car and prefer to drive to the parks, so will be have to pay the $22 fee, or is this a perk of staying on site? We’ll be at the all stars resort.

Thanks

1. Re: Parking

No, staying at a WDW resort allows free parking at the WDW parks.

Not applicable at any other parks, however; only WDW parks.

Sorry, I should have been more specific about that. We’re staying at All Stars on WDW :)

Thanks for you quick reply!

Driving to the parks will be an advantage at all the WDW parks EXCEPT Magic Kingdom; I don't recommend you drive to that park.

When traveling to Magic Kingdom, you really need to take the buses, due to them dropping you off at the front gate, rather than having the extra time it would take to park in the parking lot, get a tram to the TTC, then take either the monorail or the ferry over to the front gate of MK.

Driving to the other three theme parks, the water parks, or Disney Springs is no less hassle than taking the buses. Only MK is the problem.

For some (us included) the ferry trip from the car park is all part of the experience of arriving at the MK. The on site buses are good at a push, but can be crowded, smelly and perhaps you will have to wait for yours.

The bus is an option, but taking the car to MK isn’t so bad really.

I love the ferry boat arrival to MK, the children prefer the monorail..

I'll never forget the very first trip way back in the early 90's, watching the castle getting closer:-):-)

You can arrive to quickly, so I always advise for a first visit, Ferry Boat:-):-)

We prefer the monorail for the morning (I like to get there quickly!) and the ferry for the evening. Ahh, roll on the next 247 days!!
