5 days in Naples- what would you do?

Looking for ideas from people who are really familiar with Naples....what are your must do's when staying there(aside from hitting the beach)? We are a family of four with two kids(12,9) and are staying in a condo in Old Naples.

Thanks in advance!

Definitely hit the zoo, we've always enjoyed that. The monkey island boat ride there is especially fun. We also enjoyed walking thru Corkscrew Sanctuary which is an Audubon park and has a nice long boardwalk and many species of plants, trees and animals. We also always stroll around 5th Ave and 3rd street and window shop and then eat a nice meal. We like Tommy Bahama's restaurant and always get an ice cream at Kilwins. The pier is nice too to check out as is Tin City which has fun restaurants and shops on the water. There is also a waterpark nearby- Sun-N-Fun Lagoon.

The Zoo

The Botanical Garden.

Tin City is touristy with shops and restaurants.

Go to the pier for sunset.

Take a Naples Princess Cruise

Drive to Everglades City, take an airboat ride.

Continue to Chokoloskee Island, maybe the Smallwood store be interesting for your family?

Drive to the Big Cypress National Preserve, go to the Oasis Visitor Center, check out the canal boardwalk for wildlife.(https://www.nps.gov/bicy/index.htm)

One more vote for the zoo! Our kids enjoyed it.

Eat lunch or dinner afterwards at Brooks Burgers and Dogs. SO yummy!!

The community park on Tamiami is putting in a small water park which the kids will probably enjoy! Kayaking Tours are offered, as well as Paddle Boarding. Naples seems to be geared more towards relaxing, shopping and eating, therefore not necessarily a child’s idea of fun. We visit yearly and I know that my teenager would find it boring if she were with us.

Our family always enjoyed the following when we stayed on Marco Island:

The Nature Conservancy: www.conservancy.org

Shark Valley www.nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/

Naples Zoo http://napleszoo.org/

Rookery Bay rookerybay.org

Miccosukee Indian Village miccosukee.com/indian-village/

Staying only 5 days, I would plan on the Indian Village, Shark Valley and the Nature Conservancy.

Cool Beans catamaran off Marco Island. worth the drive!

sunsets, sunsets, sunsets.

we eat out every other night. there are soooooooo many good places to choose from you'll have no problem picking a winner. Brooks Burgers, Nemo, Pincher's Tin City, Skyline Chili (lunch), The Crust (pizza in north naples), DaRuMa (Vanderbilt Beach) are some of my faves.

we just sold our place in Pelican Bay and I never did make it to the zoo.
