Going to Miami in October. Any recommendations as to mid-price hotels, I would really appreciate. Don’t mind about not having a swimming pool, as the weather at that time of the year it not warm. Thanks!
Define "mid-range" in terms of US dollars per night. Check your weather information as well, as October is still very warm...
go to something like booking.com select your dates & budget and see for yourself
search tripadvisor reviews miami beach hotel rankings
find highest ranked within your price range...
Around $250 per night. Thanks!
Probably best for you to do an initial search on your own, find 5-6 hotels that interest you, and then we can help narrow down hotels for you.
Do a search for South Beach on Kayak, Expedia, Priceline...Miami Beach also includes mid beach and North Beach, which is why I suggest South Beach for your first visit. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area as well as the beach....ideally, narrow your initial search to hotels situated between 1st and 23rd and Collins Avenue.
You should be able to find something decent for $250 that includes resort fee and tax.
Check for deals at sites like Travelzoo and Groupon, as well as a search at sites like Tripadvisor and Expedia. I did a quick search for a few days in mid October through Travelzoo and see Hampton Inn (south beach) for $190/nt which is a good hotel in an excellent location. Also the Gates at under $160/nt, almost as good.
Re. weather, early October is warmer and wetter than late October.
