Can anyone help with a route from Miami Airport to Kissimmee which avoids the cashless tolls please.
Or if we take the direct route how many cashless tolls will we incur.
Your car rental company will have a SunPass available on the car, if you choose to use it. No need to buy one.
BTW, I hope you are not trying to drive to Orlando after arriving from the U.K.? That would be very unwise.Edited: 06 August 2018, 00:51
I think we went over this in your very similar thread a few days ago. The recommended cashless toll free route is in my post #16 of that thread. Here's the link:
Yes we did. I just wanted the answer to how many cashless tolls would we hit if we took the direct route.
I am not trying to be argumentative, but if you have a SunPass, do you really care how many cashless tolls there are? Just drive through!
We don't have a Sunpass and the car hire company is Dollar and charged $52 per week. We have the car for 18 nights and you have to pay for it for the full duration of the trip.
We can't change car hire company.
We can't buy a Sunpass at the airport.
We can buy a Sunpass by visiting a supermarket on arrival and then finding somewhere with wifi to register it, add the Licence plate number of the rental car and loading it with cash for the tolls which we'd rather not do.
OK. I get it.
There are at least three separate "direct" routes to Orlando from the airport.
SR 112 to I-95 to the Turnpike three cashless tolls
SR 836 to 826 to the Turnpike again three cashless tolls
SR 836 to the Turnpike four cashless tolls
Thank you so much, that's really helpful.
I think we will take the penalties if we get lost or miss a turn on the route provided earlier.
Then when we get to Orlando we will buy the Sunpass transponder and use that on the way back.
We even looked at cancelling our car hire and rebooking with Alamo but it was £200 more expensive than what we paid 10 months ago with Dollar.
