Rent a couple of bikes and make your way around.

Carve out as many hours as possible. Maybe park near West Martello Tower & Garden. Then climb to top of Key West Lighthouse, Moondog Cafe for lunch, then Hemingway House, then the Butterfly Conservancy (last entry 4:30). Time will fly but you can get a good sample crammed in.

Thanks so much. The Martello tower and lighthouse are right up our alley. I also had planned on the butterfly area. The menu at Moondog looks great, might have to go for lunch and supper haha.

We are considering cancelling one of our dive days (nobody else scheduled yet anyhow) and making a full day on KW to do a mangrove kayak tour and all the other fun activities, finished with a sunset cruise.

ONE MORE QUESTION: How is parking down there if we were to go from activity to activity? Is it hard to come buy (first week Jan)? Would we be best to find a garage or lot and walk from place to place? Thanks!

I would park in one place, walk, free duval loop or rent bikes to get place to place. Trying to find parking from place to place is a waste of time. You’ll be walking anyway

I would park in one spot then strategize point to point stops & how long you can stay at each. If you do a full day then maybe start at South end & walk your way north to Mallory Square for sun down. Walk back on a side street to your car gives you one last feel for Older Town.

Thanks…any spots to avoid walking after dark or is it pretty safe? We will be coming back to the car after dinner following a sunset cruise.
