New Years Eve in Vail

My husband and I will be in Vail on New Years Eve this year. We're looking for something to do that night to celebrate. Are there any parties, events, places to eat you would suggest? I read somewhere that in the past their used to be a party at the top of a mountain but I can't find any information on it.

Thank you in advance!

You're welcome. If you find something that interests you, I'd suggest making a reservation as soon as they take them. For example, the celebration at the Red Lion is very popular and sells out.

Do you know what the celebration has entailed in the past?

That's just an example of one of many events in Vail. The Vail Daily will publish NYE events later in the year: http://www.vaildaily.com

This is from last year: The Red Lion (304 Bridge St., Unit 1, Vail Village) is hosting a New Year’s Eve party, with appetizers from 7 to 9 p.m., a Champagne toast and live music starting at 9 p.m. from Brendan McKinney and friends. Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets are $100 for the 21-and-older event, with only 150 tickets sold. Reservations are required.
