Arriving late on December 24th and staying in main town of Telluride. Are Groceries stores open late that evening? How about December 25th? Thanks
Are you looking to stock a rental condo?
If so, there are companies that will deliver groceries ahead of time so everything you want is already in your refrigerator and cupboards.
If you are flying into Montrose, you can shop there. Cheaper than Telluride.
The grocery prices in Telluride/Mtn. Village are guaranteed to raise an eyebrow.
We have a saying; "There are two kinds of people that fill shopping carts in Telluride... Tourists and show-offs"Edited: 26 November 2015, 21:27
The OP is taking a shared ride shuttle and arriving "late" so that may not allow for a stop on the 24th. The grocery deliver service would sure be convenient, but Clark's Market will be open.
localhassle, I made a quick phone call for you. Clark's Market says, "Ma'am, we are a resort town so we are open every day, regular hours, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m." I'm guessing the market in Mountain Village will be open, as well.
I am sure there are quite a few locals who forget something or run out of something between Montrose shopping runs and appreciate having local markets. Restaurants, lodging, and groceries are all generally more expensive in mountain resort towns.
Thank You misspWestSlope for making a phone call
We are a ski town. Of course we are open Sundays and Christmas.
