Looking to visit Telluride/Ouray area in late October/Early November next year. Short window with kids sports/school. What kind of weather can I expect and will roads in the mountains already have snow on them? Will any slopes/snow mobile trails be open?? Never visited this time of year.

Thanks!

For sure you won't be skiing or snowmobiling. Decent chance you'll see snow on the mountains. Could have a snow storm to impact roads, but not overly likely. But it does snow that time of year. Town will be super slow. It's that in between season. If that's your time break, go for it.

Have fun.

The off season is from about Oct 15 until Thanksgiving. This means that may businesses, restaurants, etc will be closed and the free gondola between Telluride and Mountain Village will be closed as well. It is after the fall colors and before ski season, so very few visitors and many locals take their vacation then.
