Good Luck at that price point! Add another $100.00 and you will find it.

There are plenty of places for your desired amount. Check Durango Downtown Inn....less than $100 in early October. You aren't looking at the Strater!

On the north end of Main, many places. Use google maps to identify. On trolley line but a long walk

The Durango Lodge is right downtown near the train station. Free parking and breakfast for $130. Gets good reviews on TA. the Durango Downtown Inn is not downtown. It is about three blocks west of Main St but an easy walk. Cheaper motels can be found north of town but some are sketchy. Check reviews. Don't book at any of these that rent rooms by the week or month to month.

I would say stay away from the cheap motels on the north end of Durango, many of them are nothing more but long term lodging for very questionable characters. Exception to that would be the Hampden. Read the tripadvisor reviews.

Might bite bullet and stay two nights at one of historic three instead of three

I stayed at the Adventure Inn a couple of years ago and it was a great place owned by a very friendly couple. Good value but not close to any of the hustle of downtown. Very far north so quiet. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g33…

This is an excellent recommendation for a budget friendly place to stay at that end of town.
