    Is it safe to park overnight at the Pleasanton BART station? Thinking about leaving my Avalanche truck there overnight on Saturday.

    I wouldn't do it; is that a really nice truck?

    With a nice catalytic converter underneath?

    Oh yum; I'll send someone over Saturday night.

    Seriously, unless you have a beater truck I wouldn't leave it. Security for vehicles is sketchy at all stations, and there is no one between 1 am and 4 am to see anything.

    Better off parking in a neighborhood nearby, but that station is surrounded by an office park. Maybe Castro Valley would work better, neighborhoods are closer to the station.

    Pleasanton is one of the safest cities in the East Bay (according to the mayor the city is perfect in every aspect). But who can tell if one can leave a truck in the BART lot without worry that someone may break in?

    Thanks for the input. Ended up parking at a friend's house nearby and walking to the station.
