living in cambria

I am thinking about moving to Cambria with my 11 year old son from the bay area and am wondering what this place have to offer to my son and his education. I would appreciate any insight from a local person.

Cambria is a small seaside town. It will be quite different from El Cerrito. The schools are good, from what I've read in local papers. Plus, you wouldn't be far from a junior college or Cal Poly if your son wanted to continue his education. The downside to Cambria is that there isn't a whole lot to do there for kids.

Here's a link for Cambria schools:

What is the initial draw that has you looking at Cambria? It is a small town atmosphere, agricultural and plenty of events and festivals to keep adults and kids engaged and involved, but it does take a half hour to get to Paso Robles to the east or 45 minutes to SLO to the south to get to hospitals and major shopping centers.

Something to consider...
