Which bus from Manila to Tagaytay?

Hi everyone,

a last minute question...

which bus companies go from Manila (Cubao Edsa) to Tagaytay (Nasugbu / Lian)?

any opinion about their frequency?

Thank you very much!

Found this blog which may help:

byahena.com/1172-a-one-day-stop-to-tagaytay-…

'From Cubao infront of Alimall we ride San Agustin bus ( route from Cubao to Nasugbu) it will also going to Tagaytay City.

Fare : Php. 114 or $ 2.67

Travel time : 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic condition.'

Thanks everyone. Managed to make the trip to Tagaytay and Taal volcano - it was not so difficult. Went by JAM transit (bad idea! landed up at Balibago and took a jeepney back. Interesting market there though, and met some interesting Filipinos who also were doing the trip from Manila) and returned by San Augustin (good idea)

The other good bus companies to use are Erjohn & Almark, and Golden Dragon

I'll post a separate page about Tagaytay and Taal volcano -with lots of pictures and all the travel, stay and trek info here - http://expattraveller.blogspot.com/

San Augustin was the one recommended in the above blog I provided.

True Tommo, thanks.

I have also made some changes / additions in wikitravel and google maps, as half the places mentioned were not there (esp. for a first time traveller)

The bus transportation to

Tagaytay is very convenient. Hop the buses with sign

boards “MENDEZ – TAGAYTAY/NASUGBU” of Erjohn, Kirby, Golden Dragon, San Agustin and Saulog aircon Bus Lines.

The bus line passes through coastal road and Aguinaldo highway to and

from Metro Manila. The fare is P120 when you take these buses at

CCP or Baclaran. If you would like to take the cheaper bus

of the same route, take the non-aircon Celyrosa Bus lines with the same

signboard at their station in Pasay Rotonda.
