May-June is it Best time to visit Kashmir??

Question

I want to take ride of Gondola and enjoy some snow sports like beginner skiing or paragliding. Initially I was planning for Feb end however I have learned from some TA forum posts that I would get plenty of snow in Feb however I will miss beauty of Srinagar as Garden will barren in Winters also Pahalgam tourists places won't be much scenic due to heavy snow. On top of all that I will have stay in hotel with centralized heating and pay huge.

No option to stay in houseboats as well.

I want to know if my understanding is correct, if I visit Kashmir in May or June, I would be able to enjoy snow activities at Gondola phase 2, Visit almost all favorite places at Pahalgam and explore all gardens and famous places at Srinagar, stay in houseboats for the entire trip and go on day trip to Gulmarg and Pahalgam to make most out my trip. Please advise if this is a good plan and suggest best time between May and June or other months as per  my expectation.

Is May-June very crowded?

if you want to see the white valley (kashmir) covered with snow ,Experience the snowfalling and snow activities like skiing,skating ,sledging etc then Jan-feb is best time while want to see greenery and fllower gardens then may-Jul is the right time. And yes may-Jun is crowed with tourists.

Hi Shadab,

If you are looking for snow along with greenery, paragliding, flowers, rivers etc plan your trip in May. Snow can be found at two places- Sonamarg and Gulmarg (Phase2). May-June is peak season time and you can expect some crowd.
