Is it necessary to pre-book Diani Beach Resorts?

We plan to be in the area around June 18th give or take a day or two and I see all these resorts, but I am not sure we want to fully commit to booking beforehand since our schedule isn't set in stone. Would it be possible to find a nice all-inclusive to stay at on Diani Beach with a few days notice for booking or do I really need to book now?

I very much doubt the resort will be bursting at the seams ..all the hotels South and North are not full ...many are going to close so just make sure the hotel you decide to choose is actually open

Agree with DD, until the last year or so the South Coast hotels had low occupancy rates even at busier times. June is low season (should be the tail end of the Long Rains), a time when as DD says, some hotels close and lay off staff, some close wings for refurbishment as do some restaurants and other businesses.

In the last year or so the UK travel companies have dropped some North Coast hotels as they have become too expensive for them and switched to the South Coast hotels which tend to be smaller and cheaper. So they are now a bit busier than they used to be but should still be low occupancy at that time of year.

FYI - Diani Sea Resort & Ocean Village Resort are very good "All Incl" resorts.

There other hotels in Diani which offer "All Incl" besides H/B & F/B but these 2 specialise ONLY in "All Incl". Stayed in both, no complaints whatsover.

Great! Thanks for the tips. We actually were going to go with either Diani Sea Resort or Pinewood. Want to get in some diving, snorkeling and just a relaxing time.

You don't have to pre-book a hotel on the south coast, the best option is to walk in, pay CASH and ALWAYS haggle. ;-)
