We are looking at buying some land in Margarita...has anybody else done this and if so, do you have any advice?
We just bought a condo in Esparta Suites. I don't think we would buy land because of squtters and such, we heard that if you have a home there you should hire someone to live in it When you are not there. They do have companies that do this 24 hrs a day in shifts. But with a condo you have guards at front desks (at Esparta Suites).you can check it out at espartasuites.com
thanks for your advice! We were looking at land simply because it would be easier to maintain than buying a home/condo. We have thought about the aspect of squatters, but the land we are looking at is in a very nice developed neighbourhood. We also have connections with people there who could check in every so often to make sure there are no squatters.
Saying that --- do you have any advice for the buying process?
Thanks for your insight:-)
Just get a real estate agent, because it changed from when we put money down to when we went to settlement (no more certified checks)we had to wire money into the owner's acct before we left the U.S. And now I think all transaction must be done in Bs. You do have to apply for your seniat #, just a way of tracking people I think. And of course lawyers. Good Luck we love it too.
