Condo rental in phoenix or scottsdale or vicinity

My family would like to rent a condo for 2-3 weeks endo of May beginning of June (2010)and use it as our "home base" for doing some touring. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried www.homeaway.com ? I like the format better than vrbo.com.

Please pay close attention to the reviews and ask a lot of questions.

Once you pick a couple areas/complexes you are interested in, come back with locations and questions and we can help with some specifics. It is a BIG valley, pretty hard to generalize until you choose some specifics first.

What kind of touring and destinations do you have in mind from this 'home base'?

If you plan to spend your time in the valley around PHX and Scottsdale then it makes sense. But if you expect to visit other parts of Arizona like the Grand Canyon or Tucson or Sedona, then you might want to reconsider. AZ is a big state and day trips to destinations like that aren't really practical. You will be much better off if you plan to move around and maybe stay at 2 or 3 different 'home bases'.

So what is your plan? Where do you intend to tour?
