Best use of a short time???

We are travelling to Iguazu next month for a very short trip. We fly in at 1305 then fly back to BA the next day at 1740. Would be very grateful for any advice on the best way to make the most of our time and see both side of the falls.

Thanks

Alison

Depending on your hotel location you would only have a couple hours to spend the first day at the park. You could grab a taxi and go to BR side but a very short time at the falls.

It really takes 4-5 hours to see all AR side. You can see BR in 3-4 hours.

You can get 50% off next day on the AR side. If ou want to go to AR then BR in one day, but departing at 17:00 you need to be there at least 1 hour before so going to both sides and customs leaves you a short window. Factor in traffic (weekends are busy) may be so much to handle.

Maybe best to just do AR side and return again the next day. 2/3 rds of the falls are on the AR side. You can do the boat ride an enjoy instead of looking at your watch.

Taxi will save you so much time.

If you do both sides go early to BR (opening time, see and take pictures, go back to hotel grabs bags and go to AR side again. (use the lockers at AR side for bags.)

2. Re: Best use of a short time???

youre missing some info.

you dont have alot of time either as mentioned.

So depending on where you depart from, i would try to find lodging on that side and do my last trip on that side with the airport that way you dont have to worry about crossing the boarder and wasting more time.

sometimes you just have to face the fact that you cant do it all too.

just plan for more time when you return.

good luck.

Thanks for the info. We travel on a Wednesday, so hopefully it should be quieter, we are staying at Iguazu falls lodge. We hope to leave our luggage in left luggage in BA so should only have a small bag. I think getting a taxi from the airport to the Brazilian side to take some photos on the first day, then doing the Argentinian side on the second day sounds like a great plan. Should I try to book a taxi in advance?

Thanks
