Accommodation Required Over New Year

There are a group of 10 of us coming over from the UK for a wedding in CT in December and want to stay in Camps Bay over New Year. We are really struggling to find any accommodation options. We need a place for 5 nights from the 30th December and would be prepared to pay for a week if necessary. Ideally we want a single property with 5 bedrooms but would consider multiple smaller properties if they are relatively close together. We want to be near to Camps Bay but a neighbouring area would also be OK providing that the beach was reasonably accessible and we had a pool and some outdoor space.

The only places we have found want a minimum of 14 nights which we cannot do and are at a loss as to whether any realistic options actually exist... Any recommendations, property options or suggested alternatives will be gratefully received.

We are booked to stay in the penthouse here from this Sunday. The whole house and penthouse can be rented as 1 (6 bedrooms). I don't know what its like but will post a review on my return.

Its not cheap, but nor was in the most expensive place I trawled through and it is in camps bay.

If you have transport, then 10 mins drive down the coast from Camps Bay maybe look at the Kings Place in Hout Bay.

Valley House 1 has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are two pools in the grounds and a tennis court. A much more country area with wonderful views. A few minutes from Hout Bay Beach and, as I said about 10 mins from Camps Bay.

They don't have on-line booking, so not sure if they still have availability over New Year.

Hi

There are quite a few options in Camps Bay actually.

If you don't mind taking two apartments you could try Camps Bay Resort which is self catering but apartments are cleaned daily. They have two pools and I believe one of them is private for one of the two bedroomed apartments. They are also right by the beach so it is very convenient and central. campsbayresort.co.za

There is another option that might be better suited to your specifications, and maybe a little more private as well. It's about 500 metres to Camps Bay beach and offers 5 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, and a braai or barbeque area. It's very upmarket, gorgeous! and considering that it can sleep 10 people isn't badly priced either. Have a look at their site wescamp.com

Hope that helped. Alternatively there are hotels in the area as well

Erasmus, do you work for or have an interest in Village and Life? Just that all your recommendations on various recent postings have just been for Village & Life properties!
