I have never known of so called reps getting on the bus from the plane to the Arrivals hall or am i missing something about the bus,

I am sure they won't be allowed in the landing area,

The only buses we used was the transfer bus from the plane to the terminal, the other one was the resort bus used in the bus park area,

The reps collect money in the bus to the hotel because there not allowed to sell visa on arrival and therefore they only give the visa on arrival and collect money outside.

But then again it's the British and German company's that sells you the visa prior to your arrival and the price of 35€ is stated in your ticket or contract witch includes visa and assistance at the airport.

And the original company gets a share of the profit too.

I believe this must stop sometime and the online visa will at least minimise it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to offer a service that will obtain your electronic visa for you, and charge a premium, like they do now, with the visa on arrival.

Well there are companies doing that already - a lot have sprung up. But I fear that one day the visas upon arrrival will eventually be withdrawn so that everyone will have to get it on line.

When i fly from Brussels and book with TC/Neckermann the visa is included in the price of the packageholiday. It is not mentioned seperate on the booking so you can not tick it of (like luggage or food) .

You get a voucher that you can swop for the visa at the reps desk.

Indeed, the Swiss tour operators do that as well - even for stays in Sharm of under 15 nights !

maenan,

That's a good idea with the voucher,

That would make the visa system easier and might control the chaos in the arrival area, if you have the voucher the rep's can't charge you extra for it,

If only Thomas Cook in the UK would do the same,

Re post *18

T/C offer this visa, but they charge £25, and you print it off before your holiday.
