Hotels

Have looked at the reviews on here but can't make mind up - we like a smallish hotel, prefer with a pool, comfy bed and good food available if we want it.

I remember reading somewhere on here (last year probalby) that one of the hotels was a bit "clique-y" and at another one the owner tried to organise everyone into doing trips out with him/her! Don't want either of those things - just want a relaxing time away with no pressure to do anything we don't want to do. We like to socialise a bit but not be forced into joining in!

Have a read through the many reviews ..that might help with your decision making

tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g311312-Cirali_Turkis…

"that one of the hotels was a bit "clique-y" and at another one the owner tried to organise everyone into doing trips out with him/her!"

which hotels are you referring to..I have never read anything like that myself..

Here are the places in Cirali that have pools

1. Canada Hotel

2. Odile Hotel

3. Nerissa Hotel

4. Aida Hotel

www.hotelnerissa.com/html/englisch.html

http://www.aida-hotel.com/en/index.php

the three largest pools are those at the Canada Hotel, Odile hotel, and the Nerissa hotel..whereas the pool at the Aida is much smaller and shares the pool with 2 other hotels... the Azur hotel being one of those.

you can see from each of the websites which one has the best prices for a bungalow or accommodation

the Odile is the closest to the beach..the Canada hotel is a 7-8 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the cirali village center......the hotel Nerissa is located on the far north end of the Cirali village and probably more than a 20 minute walk to the village center where the local markets and shops are located..

It takes me about 1.5 hours to walk the 10kms around the entire village of Cirali.

The Aida hotel would be about a 5 minutes to the beach.

here are my photos and those of Cirali..so have a look through them

Consider also Kibala Hotel which has recently been recommended by a few forum regulars too.

Thanks for your response to this and my other questions Canmom.

The info I read about hotels was some time last year, may not have been on Trip Advisor although I normally do all my researching on here. Can't remember now which hotel(s) they were but have been back through the latest reviews and can find nothing untoward.

We regularly travel to another hotel which, to an outsider, might appear to be like some kind of private club, but it certainly isn't. It just gets so many repeat visitors that you do tend to meet the same people at the same time each year.

Hope I can get my husband to try Cirali - he's a Kalkan fan!

We recently stayed in Aida Hotel and it was wonderful and they have a swimming pool. It is only a few minute walk from the beach. The food is lovely and all the staff were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend it and will certainly be returning.
