Cruise ships in town?

Hi there we are coming over to Rarotonga and Aitutaki from 18th March 2nd April 2015. Was wanting to know if there are any cruise ships visiting at that time, as we wouldn't want to book any tours on those days. Thank you.

Hi Lynley, the cruise ships are only at Aitutaki for a day. They don't reserve all of the lagoon cruises so there will always be some available. You don't have to book in advance unless you are planning on using one of the charters - Black Pearl or Slice of Heaven. So You can always wait until you get to Aitutaki to book your cruise.

Thanks for that. Do you know which date the cruise ship is in? Getting excited about coming to your piece of paradise for some R&R. Staying at Aitutaki Seaside Lodges. Hanging out to watch sunsets and snorkel.

Hi

According to the CI News the next cruise ship due in Cook Islands waters is the Queen Victoria which is expected on Sunday, 22 March. The paper points out that Sunday is, of course, a day when most things are closed which the ship may not have realised when it arranged its schedule.

It didn't say whether it would be visiting Rarotonga, Aitutaki - or both. Puapii-teacher will be able to clarify, I'm sure.

Looking at the Queen Victoria itinerary it looks like it is only calling in at Rarotonga. I suspect it's much to big to stop at Aitutaki.
