We plan to visit Shanghai Disneyland during on 4th April, the day before Qingming. Is this a big holiday, what kind of crowds can I expect?
It should be at full capacity.
The 4th is a normal Working / School day so won't be any worse than any other mid-week day so you should be fine, The Qingming holiday this year is from the 5th to the 7th Inclusive (Sunday 8th will be classed as a working day that week).
Should be normal amount of people, may be slightly more, but nothing too bad
Yea, it's a normal weekday.
BTW most ppl go to cemeteries during QM.Edited: 05 February 2018, 17:53
Not really, most people go to tourist attractions and shopping malls.
Those who still live near their family’s homestead will visit the cemetery. In rural China the firecrackers go off as they “wake up the dead” to hear their prayers and worship of ancestors. Others who have moved from their ancestral roots find the holiday perfect for enjoyable distractions from their every-day activities.
Enjoy your day at Disneyland, remembering that in 1.4-billion-people China, there are always crowds.
