Baga Goa

Just come back from Baga / Apora Goa after a break of 4 years having been there 8 years running same hotel same area and what a change no longer are the beach shacks and beach great Baga End and most of the beach down to Calangute is now crowded with Domestic Tourist (Indians from out of state) there are loads of jets skis, bannana boats, rubber rings, speed boats, paragliding and just about every other type of noisy water sports the indians love them the noise and the fumes make it impossible to use this beach and it is very dirty they leave all their litter on the beach. The government has limited the number of sun beds at the shacks and they are no longer at the waters edge but right back at the back of the beach. The traffic all around is gridlocked and dangerous with scooter and big 4 x 4s you can not walk safely on the roads. Hotel, food and weather was still great and it is still relativley cheap Goa has lost its charm we will not be going back such a shame

I first stayed at the Ronil 18 years ago, no sun beds on the beach, red dust road outside. We no longer go to Baga beach because it has got so busy, but go north to Morjim or Ashvem every day, we've always enjoyed a day south at Utorda or overnight at Palolem or Agonda.

Still love Goa, things do change but you can still find the perfect place to enjoy, for me the magic is still there you have to find yours.
