Hi there,

Depends on how you define 'direct'. If it also includes one stop without plane change then Delta has quite a few options. They have a daily flight Amsterdam-Mumbai under code DL50, and often it's the same plane coming from USA - their site mentions Detroit, JFK and Boston as origins. However that's a kind of tricky model, I don't exclude that on some days from some of these towns it's still a transfer to a different plane at Amsterdam.

All the best,

or you could fly west from California

i think they stop in Singapore

then India opens up to you

what time of the year are you thinking

of joining us?? nov-march is the prime time

although i have been informed that

India is most beautiful during the monsoon

when the dust is washed off all the bushes and trees

and everything is green...

mind you if you want green then visit England....lol..

If during the monsoon you stay on one place and have all food delivery issues sorted out: great. Otherwise DON'T, it's not a time where the fainthearted would enjoy India due to washouts of roads railways airports, building and dam collapses, no phone/Internet due to similar broken links, etc. etc. But note monsoon season varies a bit per region, e.g. Delhi more June-Aug and Chennai more Aug-Oct.

Tnx,
