Hi,

The itinerary given by alen is a good one, just a suggestion you can actually even add bandipur to this on 24 from mysore to bandipur(pls prebook the rooms as peak season) wildlife safari, either halt or back to mysore.

25 mysore-ooty, if travelling by pvt car, bandipur-ooty.

the plan remains the same. Only thing is you need to include a full day Bangalore trip in this.

try spending more number of days/night in Ooty and Coorg. you need to select good resorts there to enjoy the places fully.

Day 1: Bangalore

Day 2: Mysore

Day 3: Ooty

Day 4:Ooty

Day 5:Coorg

Day6:Coorg

Day 7:Journey to bangalore Airport from Coorg

Harish, I read that you are from Pune. You must have been at Mahabaleshwar. If so, I wont recommend you to go to Ooty. Instead you can spend more time at Coorg and/or Wayanad, Bandipur. These are better places.

I stayed at Windflowr Resort and Spa at Bandipur. Excellent place. Same would be true at their hotel in Coorg. Its bit upscale. In Coorg I stayed at Caveri Holiday Resort. Its renovated in May-12 should be good and VFM

Travel in rented car if you are family !! Much easier to go around

Hi Mr. Haresh,

We recommend to include Wayanad also. It's a beautiful place in kerala, filled with nature beauty, wild life sanctuaries, nature trekking places. It's in btw Ootty and Coorg. While coming back from Ootty, you can catch Wayanad in 3 hrs. You can spend two nights/3 days in Wayanad and then proceed to Coorg (just 2 hr drive). Wayanad attractions are;

1) Wayanad Wild Life sanctuary

2) Pookode lake

3) Chembra Peak, wonderful trekking place

4) Edakkal Caves

5) Banasura dam, Asia's second largest earth dam

6) Kuruva Island

7) Soochipara Falls

8) Wayanad Ghat View Point and more..

Thanks,

Biju, Wayanad Tourist

Hi ASHOK60 ,

if you reach Bangalore Central at 6:40 AM , you can freshen up, have breakfast and then board Mysore Exp at 800 AM from the same station . it reaches Mysore by 11:30 AM and you can reach your hotel by 12 noon .

Hire a taxi from the hotel and visit the main spots like Mysore Palace,Mysore Zoo, Chamundeswari temple , St Philomenas Church , KRS Dam/Vrindavan Garden ,Rangaswamy temple ,Summer Palace etc. you can divide these into 2 days and finish it off before leaving for Ooty .

Post lunch , you can visit botanical Garden,Ooty lake ,etc . Try Coonnoor tea gardens and a narrow gauge train ride .

you can catch Bangalore Exp from Mysore Junction at 4:15 PM which reaches Bangalore at around 7:40 PM .
